Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface low has developed near 22N97W 1011 mb and
is along a low level NNW to SSE orientated trough across the
W-Central and SW Gulf waters. The low is expected to drift SE
along the trough through Thu and then meander, possibly
developing into a tropical cyclone. A weak cold front will sink
SE across the NW and N Gulf Wed, before stalling from the NE
Gulf to central Gulf Fri, then lifting N while dissipating Sat.
Hurricane Irma is forecast to approach the Straits of Florida
Fri night, and reach near 24.0N 81.0W Sat night as a major
hurricane.
