Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Franklin is inland near 19.9N 97.6W
at 5 AM EDT moving W or 260 degrees at 13 kt. Maximum sustained
winds are 60 kt gusts to 75 kt. Franklin will continue westward
and weaken to a Tropical Depression near 19.6N 99.8W this
afternoon with marine conditions improved. A ridge will meander
westward from the Florida Big Bend across the northern gulf
waters through Mon with a surface high developing along the
ridge during the late afternoons. A trough will develop over the
Yucatan Peninsula during the evenings, move W during the
overnight hours, and dissipate over the SW Gulf by late each
morning.
