more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Franklin over water near 20.3N 91.3W 
at 11 PM moving WNW at 9 kt with maximum sustained winds 45 kt 
gusts to 55 kt. Franklin will strengthen over the SW Gulf, and 
approach hurricane intensity prior to landfall south of Tampico 
along the coast of Mexico early Thu. Winds and seas will decrease 
across the region through Thu and Fri. Fresh NE to E winds are 
expected west of northern Yucatan Thu night. Elsewhere, a ridge 
will meander across the northern Gulf waters through Sun.
