Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Franklin in the NW Caribbean near
18.6N 85.9W at 5 PM moving NW at 11 kt. Maximum sustained winds
are 50 kt with gusts to 60 kt. Franklin will move across the
Yucatan Peninsula tonight and Tue and enter the Bay of Campeche
around 5 PM Tue. Franklin is forecast to intensify to a Cat
1 hurricane near 1 PM Wednesday near 20.5N 94W. Franklin will
then move inland Mexico near Veracruz late Wed night to early
Thu. An E to W ridge will establish across the basin late Thu
through Friday.
