Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A surface high will meander over the central gulf waters with a ridge extending to the E and W between 26N and 27N. A series of weak troughs will drift E across the NE gulf waters through the end of the week and into the weekend, all to the N of the ridge. A thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula each afternoon into the the evening hours, then move W across the SW Gulf during the overnight hours, and dissipate by late each morning.
