Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure will prevail across the eastern
Gulf through early next week. The pressure gradient will weaken
Wed and Thu as a trough drops into the far NE Gulf. A surface
trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula each afternoon
and evening, then move W into the SW Gulf and dissipate
overnight.
