Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough will develop over the Yucatan
Peninsula each afternoon and evening, then move W into the SW
Gulf and dissipate overnight. Otherwise, weak high pressure will
prevail across the eastern Gulf through early next week. The
pressure gradient will weaken towards the end of the week as a
trough drops into the NE Gulf.

.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SUN...SW winds less than 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

building to 3 ft after midnight. 
.MON...S winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.MON NIGHT...SE winds less than 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt
after midnight. Seas 3 ft. 
.TUE...SE winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to less than 10 kt in
