Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A ridge extending from the Atlantic across the Gulf will dominate the area through early next week producing mainly moderate to fresh southerly winds across the western Gulf, and light to gentle E to SE winds across the eastern Gulf. A trough will develop during the evening hours over the Yucatan Peninsula before pushing offshore into the SW Gulf each night.
