Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A ridge will dominate the Gulf waters through early next week producing mainly moderate to fresh southerly winds across the western Gulf, and light to gentle E to SE winds across the eastern Gulf. A thermal trough will develop during the evening hours over the Yucatan Peninsula before pushing offshore into the SW Gulf each night.
