Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Cindy centered near 27.3N 91.9W
997 mb at 5 AM EDT is moving NW or 310 deg at 7 kt, with maximum
sustained winds 50 kt gusts to 60 kt. Cindy is forecast to
continue moving NW, reaching near 28.0N 92.8W early this
afternoon, with maximum sustained winds 50 kt gusts to 60 kt,
then approach the coast near 29.3N 93.5W late tonight, with
maximum sustained winds 45 kt gusts to 55 kt and move inland to
near 30.9N 93.8W early Thursday afternoon. High seas will
continue N and well E of the cyclone center through Thursday.
High pressure will build across the northern Gulf in the wake of
Cindy and prevail through Sunday.
