Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Tropical N Atlantic
from 07N to 22N between 55W and 64W, the SW N Atlantic S of
31N W of 65W including Bahamas, and the Caribbean Sea.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for Caribbean Sea and Tropical N Atlantic from
07N to 19N between 55W and 64W

.SYNOPSIS...A tropical wave is over the eastern Caribbean with
axis near 66W. A low pressure of 1006 mb is analyzed along the
wave axis near 12N66W. The environment is forecast to become
more conducive for development, and a tropical depression is
likely to form in the next day or so. The low is forecast to
move west- northwestward and be over the central Caribbean Sea
this weekend where conditions are expected to be conducive for
additional development. Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds
are likely to affect the Windward Islands, northern Venezuela,
and the ABC island chain today. These impacts are likely to
spread to northeastern Colombia later this evening. Interests in
Jamaica should closely monitor the progress of this system.

Synopsis for the the SW N Atlantic including the Bahamas

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Fiona near 30.4N 69.5W 936 mb at 5 PM EDT 
moving NNE at 17 kt. Maximum sustained winds 115 kt gusts 140 
kt. Fiona will be north of area near 32.8N 67.3W by Fri morning.
Swells generated by Fiona will continue to spread northwestward 
across the western Atlantic toward the mid-Atlantic and northeast
coasts of the United States over the next day or so. The swells 
will also reach Atlantic Canada on Friday. These swells are 
likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions 
A cold front will drop south over the north waters early on Fri 
through Sat night followed by fresh northeast winds and building 
seas. High pressure will build in behind the cold front.
