between 55W and 64W

.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Irma near 23.4N 80.5W along the
coast of Cuba, 938 mb at 5 PM EDT moving WNW at 8 kt into the
Straits of Florida. Maximum sustained winds 110 kt gusts 135 kt.
Irma is bringing winds to tropical storm strength currently
along the south central coast of Cuba. These winds will diminish
as Irma continues N this evening. Farther E...Hurricane Jose is
near 19.2N 62.4W near the Leeward Islands 945 mb moving NW at
12 kt. Maximum sustained winds 125 kt gusts to 150 kt. Jose will
move to near 20.4N 64.0W tonight, then farther N of the area
through Sun. A weak pressure pattern will persist through mid
week.
