.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Irma near 22.1N 76.5W 925 mb at 5 PM
EDT moving W at 10 kt. Maximum sustained winds 135 kt gusts
165 kt. Irma will continue moving toward the Straits of Florida
through early Sat, supporting strong winds S of Cuba and seas of
8 to 10 ft in the Windward Passage tonight. Meanwhile, farther
east, Hurricane Jose near 16.6N 58.3W 940 mb moving WNW at
15 kt. Maximum sustained winds 130 kt gusts to 160 kt. Jose will
move to 17.3N 60.0W tonight, then approach the northern Leeward
Islands near 18.4N 61.9W Sat afternoon, then on to 19.9N 64.0W
Sat night. Jose will continue to 21.7N 66.0W Sun afternoon, and
24.9N 68.8W Mon afternoon. Irma will continue to move slowly to
the N to NE over the following couple of days, NE of the Bahamas
