.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front is expected to move off the
Texas coast later this afternoon. The front will bring
widespread gale force NW winds and rough to very rough seas
across most of the basin early this evening through Fri. Minimal
storm-force winds are likely for the Veracruz offshore waters
Fri afternoon through the early evening hours. Gale-force winds
will come to an end by Fri night for most of the Gulf with
conditions slowly improving through the weekend and into early
next week. However, gale-force winds will continue across the
Veracruz offshore waters through Sun night.

.TONIGHT...NW to N winds 25 to 35 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft, building
to 8 to 11 ft in NW swell after midnight. 
.FRI...N winds 30 kt, diminishing to 20 to 25 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 9 to 14 ft in N to NE swell. 
.FRI NIGHT...N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft in NE
swell.
