.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front is expected to move off the
Texas coast later this afternoon. The front will bring
widespread gale force NW winds and rough to very rough seas
across most of the basin tonight through Fri. Gale-force winds 
will come to an end by Fri night for most of the Gulf with 
conditions slowly improving through the weekend and into early 
next week.

.TODAY...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SW in the
afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.TONIGHT...NW to N winds 25 to 35 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft, becoming
8 to 13 ft in NW swell after midnight.
.FRI...N winds 30 to 35 kt, diminishing to 25 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 8 to 13 ft in N swell. 
.FRI NIGHT...N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft in N to
