.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front in the northern Gulf has devolved
into a surface trough and is now located from central Florida to
offshore Texas. This feature will dissipate by tonight. A strong
cold front will move into the NW Gulf Fri morning, then race 
through the basin by Fri night, bringing strong to near gale 
force winds to much of the basin through Sat. Gales will develop 
offshore NE Mexico Fri afternoon and spread S to offshore 
Veracruz Fri night. Gales will diminish Sat, with slowly 
improving conditions by the start of next week. 

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TODAY...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.TONIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Chance of
showers. 
.FRI...N winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft. Chance of showers. 
.FRI NIGHT...N winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft in NE swell. 
.SAT...N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt, becoming N 10 to 15 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 5 to 7 ft.
