.SYNOPSIS...High pressure is centered over the Gulf of Mexico,
with light to gentle anticyclonic winds prevailing. Fresh
southerly winds are forecast to begin tonight across the western
Gulf ahead of a strong cold front forecast to enter the basin by
Sat morning. The front will exit the eastern Gulf by Sun
afternoon. Strong to gale force NW to N winds and very rough
seas will follow the front across much of the Gulf, Sat through
Sun. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will accompany the
front. Conditions will improve on Mon as high pressure builds
over the region. 

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 to 4 ft late. 
.SAT...SW winds 15 to 20 kt, shifting to NW 20 to 30 kt in the
afternoon with frequent gusts to gale force. Seas 6 to 8 ft. 
Scattered showers.
.SAT NIGHT...NW winds 30 to 35 kt. Seas 9 to 14 ft. 
.SUN...NW winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 8 to 13 ft. 
.SUN NIGHT...NW winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming W to NW 5 to 10 kt
late. Seas 5 to 7 ft, subsiding to 3 to 5 ft late.
