.SYNOPSIS...A cold front that currently extends from the western
Florida panhandle to inland central Texas will move a little
southward through this afternoon and become stationary tonight.
The front will begin to lift back north as a warm front late
tonight into Sun morning. At the same time, low pressure will
track northeastward along the upper Texas coast dragging a
strong cold front into the NW Gulf. The front will quickly reach
from near Mobile Bay to the central Gulf and to the eastern Bay
of Campeche by early Sun evening and to southeast of the Gulf by
Mon night. The front will be followed by fresh to strong
northerly winds and building seas. Gale force winds are likely
in the extreme SW Gulf Mon into Mon night. Winds diminish and
seas subside Tue. High pressure in the wake of the front will
shift eastward Tue night through Wed night allowing for moderate
to fresh east to southeast flow to set up across the area.
Another cold front is expected to move into the NW Gulf Wed
night.  

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TODAY...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt, except NE 20 to 25 kt N of 
28N W of 92W.  Seas 3 to 5 ft, except 5 to 8 ft N of 28N W of 
92W. Scattered showers and thunderstorms N of 28N. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt, except E 20 to 25 kt N of 
28N W of 94W. Seas 4 to 6 ft, except 6 to 8 ft N of 28N W of 
94W  Scattered showers and thunderstorms.
.SUN...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt, shifting to W to NW in the
afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms along and ahead of the front.
.SUN NIGHT...NW to N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft. 
.MON...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. 
.MON NIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt, except W of 94W becoming 
N to NE 10 to 15 kt late. Seas 6 to 8 ft, except W of 94W
subsiding to 5 to 7 ft late.

thunderstorms W of 87W. Isolated showers and thunderstorms E of 
87W.
