.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Delta inland near 30.6N 92.6W 972 mb at
11 PM EDT moving NNE at 13 kt. Maximum sustained winds 65 kt
gusts 80 kt. Delta will move farther inland and weaken to a
tropical storm near 32.2N 91.6W Sat morning and continue to
weaken as it moves farther inland through the weekend, with the
remnant low dissipating Mon evening. In its wake, weak high
pressure will build across the area into early next week. A weak
trough associated with the remnants of Delta will move across
the north- central Gulf Sat and Sat night and across the eastern
Gulf Sun and Sun and Sun night. Swell from Delta will continue
over most of the area through the weekend.

becoming W to NW 10 to 15 kt late. Seas 6 to 8 ft, except 7 to 
10 ft between 94W and 95W subsiding to 6 to 8 ft late. Scattered 
showers and thunderstorms between 90W and 94W. Isolated showers
and thunderstorms W of 94W.
