.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front will enter the NW Gulf by Mon
afternoon, then quickly reach the southeastern Gulf waters Wed
and the Straits of Florida Wed evening. In the wake of the
front, strong northerly winds are expected in the western half
of the basin, with gale force winds over the far western Gulf
and over the southwestern Gulf Tue and Tue night. High pressure
behind the front will build southeastward across the area
through Fri while weakening. A weak secondary front will drop
southward to the northern Gulf early on Fri and reach the far
southwestern Gulf by Fri evening. Stronger high pressure will
build in behind this front. The gradient between the front and a
tropical wave that will be in the western Caribbean Sea Fri is
expected to freshen the northeast winds over most of the south-
central and southeastern Gulf Fri and Fri night. 

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered 
showers and isolated thunderstorms between 90W and 92W.
.MON...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming NW 15 to 20 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 ft, building to 4 to 6 ft in the afternoon.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms.
.MON NIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft. 
.TUE...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft.
