.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Beta is near 27.7N 95.1W 996 mb at
5 AM EDT moving W at 5 kt. Maximum sustained winds 45 kt gusts
55 kt. Beta will move to 28.0N 96.0W this afternoon then inland
to 28.4N 96.6W Tue morning. Tropical Storm Beta will reach 28.7N
96.5W Tue afternoon and weaken to a tropical depression near
28.9N 95.8W Wed morning. Tropical Depression Beta will be at
29.4N 94.7W Wed afternoon and 30.2N 93.2W Thu morning. Beta will
over Mississippi early Fri. A cold front will continue to move
across the eastern half of the Gulf today. Fresh to strong NE to
E winds and building seas will follow the front into Tue.
