.SYNOPSIS...Newly formed Tropical Depression Twenty-Two near
21.9N 94.3W 1005 mb at 7 PM EDT moving NE at 4 kt. Maximum
sustained winds 30 kt gusts 40 kt. Tropical Depression
Twenty-Two will move to near 22.7N 94.0W late tonight, then
strengthen to a tropical storm near 23.8N 93.5W Fri afternoon
with maximum sustained winds 35 kt gusts 45 kt, move to near
24.8N 93.0W late Fri night, to near 25.4N 92.9W Sat with maximum
sustained 55 kt gusts 65 kt, to near 25.8N 93.1W late Sat night
with maximum sustained winds 60 kt gusts 75 kt and maintain
intensity as it nears 26.1N 93.8W Sun afternoon. Tropical Storm
Twenty-Two will begin to weaken as it reaches near 26.1N 95.1W
Mon afternoon and to near 25.6N 96.1W Tue afternoon. A weak
front will move into the northern Gulf on Fri and reach the
eastern Gulf by the weekend and become stationary. A tightening
gradient is expected to lead to fresh to strong northeast to
east winds and building seas over most of the central and
western Gulf into early next week.
