.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Laura is centered inland near 31.9N 93.1W
982 mb at 11 AM EDT moving N at 14 kt. Maximum sustained winds
65 kt gusts 80 kt. Laura will continue moving northward across
western and northern Louisiana while weakening to a tropical
storm through this afternoon. Strong southerly winds and large
seas in residual swell off the coast of Louisiana will subside
through tonight. High pressure will build over the eastern Gulf
through this weekend, resulting in moderate to fresh southerly
flow across the waters W of 90W through early next week.
