.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Laura near 29.0N 93.2W 939 mb at
11 PM EDT moving NNW at 13 kt. Maximum sustained winds 130 kt
gusts 160 kt. Laura will move inland to 31.0N 93.7W by Thu
morning, then move further inland and dissipate through Sat.
Long-period swell from Laura will impact much of the basin
through Thu. Atlantic high pressure will build westward over the
eastern Gulf in the wake of Laura.

.OVERNIGHT...Between 90W and 95W north of 27N, winds 70 to 90 
kt, diminishing to 35 to 40 kt, then diminishing further to 25 to
30 kt by late Thu morning. Seas 12 to 18 ft. Elsewhere winds 20
to 30 kt diminishing to 15 to 20 kt late. Seas 8 to 12 ft. Visibility
less than 1 nm in scattered squalls, ending early.
