.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from near Tampa to the Yucatan
peninsula with some strong thunderstorms ahead of the front in
the SE Gulf. The front will move southeast of the Gulf by this
afternoon. W gales are occurring behind the front in the N Gulf,
diminishing in the afternoon. By Fri night, conditions across
the Gulf will quickly improve with relatively tranquil winds and
seas through Tue. The next cold front may reach the NW Gulf late
on Tue.

.TODAY...SW to W winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft, subsiding to
3 to 5 ft in the afternoon.
