.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from the Florida Straits
to low pressure near 23N97W. The low will lift north into Texas
today with the front moving over W Gulf as a warm front. A cold
front will emerge off the Texas coast Thu afternoon, and reach
from Alabama to the Bay of Campeche by Fri afternoon. A
reinforcing cold front will follow into NW Gulf Thu night,
reaching from SW Louisiana to NE Mexico by Fri afternoon. Both
fronts will move east of the Gulf by Sat afternoon. Expect
increasing winds and building seas across the Gulf both ahead
of, and behind, these fronts as they move across the Gulf
waters. Winds and seas will diminish Sun and Mon as high
pressure builds over the Gulf in the wake of the second front.  

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Numerous
showers and scattered tstms. 
.THU...S to SW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.THU NIGHT...S to SW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft.
Scattered showers and isolated tstms. 
.FRI...W winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms. 
.FRI THROUGH SAT...W to NW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft. 
.SUN THROUGH MON...N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 ft.  

North Central and Northeast Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to
3 ft after midnight. 
.THU...SE to S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft, building to
5 to 7 ft in the afternoon. 
.THU NIGHT AND FRI...S to SW winds 25 to 30 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft.
Scattered tstms and scattered showers. 
.FRI THROUGH SAT...NW to N winds 25 to 30 kt. Seas 8 to 11 ft in
SW to W swell.
