A warm front extends from the low east-northeastward to across northern Florida. The low will deepen as it slowly tracks northward toward and inland the Florida Big Bend area by late this afternoon. It will then slowly tracks east-southeast across southern Alabama and Georgia to offshore the southeastern U.S. Mon through Tue night. Gale-force winds are expected over portions of the NE Gulf through early this afternoon as the low approaches the Florida Big Bend. A cold front trailing the low will sweep across the central and eastern Gulf through early this evening and to southeast of the Gulf early on Mon. Strong NW winds will follow in behind the front, while widespread areas of rain along with embedded scattered showers and thunderstorms, some possibly strong to severe with strong gusty winds and heavy rain with low visibility will precede the front. Gale-force winds in the far SW Gulf near Veracruz tonight will diminish to below gale force late this morning. Elsewhere, winds will gradually diminish Mon through Tue night.
