.SYNOPSIS...High pressure will persist over the western and
central Gulf through late this afternoon, then shift east of the
area Thu ahead of the next cold front entering the northwest
Gulf on Fri. Weak low pressure may form along the frontal
boundary late Fri into Sat over the north central Gulf, then
lift north of the area through Sun. Fresh to strong east to
southeast winds are expected to the northeast of the low.
Atlantic high pressure will then build westward across the Gulf
through Mon, and help set up fresh to strong southerly flow over
much of the western Gulf ahead of an approaching strong cold
front. This front is expected to move into the NW Gulf Mon night
into Tue followed by strong to possible near gale force
northerly winds.  

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...NE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to E to SE after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU...SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.THU NIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 ft after midnight. 
.FRI...SW to W winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms. 
.FRI NIGHT...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.SAT...N winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft. 
.SAT NIGHT...NE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to E to SE after
midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SUN...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SUN NIGHT...S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to
3 to 4 ft after midnight.
