Maximum sustained winds are 95 kt with gusts to 115 kt. Dorian will intensify to a major hurricane as it moves to 25.3N 71.0W by this evening. Dorian will reach the northern Bahamas near by Sun evening, then continue across the northern Bahamas toward Florida as an extremely dangerous major hurricane through early Mon, before moving inland over Florida by early Tue. On its current forecast path, effects from Dorian could start to be felt over portions of the eastern Gulf of Mexico as early as Mon.
