.SYNOPSIS...A very vigorous cold front, for this time of year,
extends from the Florida Big Bend south-southwest to the Yucatan
Peninsula. Numerous showers and thunderstorms, some severe, are
associated with the front. The pressure gradient between the
front and the Bermuda High is causing SW winds up to gale force
E of the front through this evening. Additionally, the strong
pressure gradient behind the front is anticipated to produce NW
winds up to gale force through this evening. The cold front will
exit the Gulf tonight and winds will quickly subside on Sat.
Weak high pressure will subsequently build in over the Gulf
promoting quiescent conditions Sun through Wed.  

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...NW to N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft. 
.SAT...NW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft, subsiding to 3 ft
late in the afternoon. 
.SAT NIGHT...SW to W winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to SE to S
after midnight. Seas 3 to 4 ft early in the evening, subsiding
to 2 ft or less, then, building to 3 ft late. 
.SUN...SE to S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.SUN NIGHT...SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.MON...SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.MON NIGHT...SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
