Numerous showers and thunderstorms, some severe, are associated with the front north of 23N. The pressure gradient between the front and the Bermuda High is causing SW winds up to gale force today. Additionally, the strong pressure gradient behind the front is anticipated to produce NW winds up to gale force this afternoon and tonight. The cold front will exit the Gulf tonight and winds will quickly subside on Sat. Weak high pressure will subsequently build in over the Gulf promoting quiescent conditions Sun through Tue.
