.SYNOPSIS...A significant cold front will move through the basin
through Fri evening with a strong line of convection out ahead
of it. The front will reach from SE Louisiana to near Tampico,
Mexico late tonight, then from the Florida Big Bend to the
eastern Bay of Campeche Fri afternoon, moving SE of the basin
Fri evening. Strong to near gale force winds are expected on
either side of the front, mainly in the northern, W central, and
SW Gulf. High pres will build in from the W in the wake of the
front this weekend with return flow expected by early next week.

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...E of front, SE to S winds 15 to 25 kt, except 25 to 35
kt within 90 nm E of front. W of front, W to NW winds 15 to 20 kt,
becoming NW 20 to 30 kt with frequent gusts to gale force late.
Seas 6 to 10 ft in SE to S swell.
Numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms. 
.FRI...NW winds 20 to 30 kt. Frequent gusts to gale force in the
morning. Seas 7 to 10 ft in SE swell.
