.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong southerly winds in the western half of
the Gulf of Mexico will dominate until this evening. The wind
speeds across the Gulf of Mexico will slow down a bit during the
first half of tonight, and then increase to fresh to strong again
during the second half of tonight leading to Friday morning. The 
western two thirds of the Gulf of Mexico will be covered by 
fresh to strong SE winds from Friday morning until Saturday 
afternoon. Fresh to strong S and SE winds will be concentrated in
the central sections of the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday night. A 
cold front will enter the NW corner of the Gulf of Mexico on 
Saturday night, along the line from SW Louisiana to the NE Mexico 
coast near 24N. The cold front on Sunday afternoon will reach from
SE Louisiana to the SW corner of the Gulf of Mexico, along the 
coast of Mexico near 18.5N 94.5W. The front on Monday afternoon 
will be nearly stationary from the Florida Straits to the NE 
Yucatan Peninsula. Fresh to strong NW winds will be to the NW of 
the cold front, during the front's E to SE movement. Strong to 
near gale force NW winds are forecast in the SW corner near 
Veracruz Mexico from Sunday morning into Sunday night. Sea heights
are forecast to reach 8 feet, from Friday night and Saturday 
morning, from the west central Gulf waters, and spreading into the
NW corner of the area, until Saturday night. Sea heights of 8 
feet also are forecast in the north central and parts of the NE 
section, from Saturday night until Monday afternoon.
