.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from the Florida Straits
near 24N83W to 1014 mb low pres centered near 21N93W. Strong
high pressure is present to the NW and N of the front is
supporting strong to near gale-force NW to N winds over SW Gulf
of Mexico. These winds will diminish to strong Tue, then to
moderate Wed. Strong NE to E winds will cover almost the entire
Gulf of Mexico Tue and Tue night, then the far eastern Gulf of
Mexico Wed as the front exits to the SE of the Gulf Wed. Winds
could reach near gale force over parts of the SE Gulf of Mexico,
as weak low pres center moves along the front Tuesday. A new
surface ridge will build S across the area Thu through Fri
night.
