.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from the FL Panhandle to 28N90W
to 24N95W to 20N96.5W. A surface ridge is building to the north
of the front, from Texas to the coastal plains of Mexico. The
front will reach from the SW Florida coast near 27N to 23N90W to
18.5N93.5W on Saturday morning, and then become stationary and
remain along more or less the same positions by Sunday morning
and continuing all day on Sunday. Expect gale-force winds this
evening near Veracruz, Mexico and in the adjacent waters of
Tampico Mexico. Strong to near gale-force winds will follow the
front, elsewhere. The front will push south as a cold front on
Monday, and become stationary for a second time, across the
lower Straits of Florida, or across northern Cuba and west
southwestward to the northern and western sections of the
Yucatan Peninsula through Tuesday night. A surface trough will
set up from northwest to southeast in the SW Gulf of Mexico, on
Sunday, and weaken from Monday through Tuesday.
