.SYNOPSIS...High pressure will dominate the basin through
Friday. Fresh to strong S return flow will develop in the
western Gulf of Mexico on Friday night and Saturday. A strong
cold front is expected to reach the NW Gulf of Mexico on
Saturday evening. It is likely that a line of rainshowers and
thunderstorms may precede the front. Winds to gale force will be
possible behind the front on Saturday night and Sunday morning
near Tampico and Veracruz, in Mexico. 

Northwest Gulf of Mexico

.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 ft late in the evening, then, subsiding to 2 ft or
less after midnight. 
.FRI...S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI NIGHT...S winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.SAT...SW winds 20 to 25 kt, shifting to W to NW 20 to 30 kt in
the afternoon. Seas 7 to 10 ft in W swell. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms. 
.SAT NIGHT...NW to N winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 8 to 11 ft in NW
swell. 
.SUN...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft.
