.SYNOPSIS...An elongated middle level low, upper level diffluent
flow and abundant moisture in the western Gulf support numerous
to scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms mainly concentrated
in the NW and N central basin, and the Yucatan Peninsula. This 
convection is forecast to continue through Wed night. A strong 
pressure gradient between this broad area of low pressure and a 
ridge over the E Gulf support fresh to near gale force over 
Louisiana adjacent waters continuing through early Mon morning. 
Fresh to strong SE winds over much of the W Gulf will continue 
through Fri morning.
