.SYNOPSIS...A strong high pressure of 1040 mb centered E of the
mid-Atlantic states extends a ridge across much of the Gulf
waters producing strong to minimal gale force across the Straits
of Florida, and the far SE Gulf. This system will maintain
strong winds east of 90W today, with strong to near gale force
winds across the Straits of Florida. A low pres will reach SE
Louisiana by this evening, with the associated cold front
extending over the NW Gulf. The low pres is expected to quickly
move across the NE Gulf on Sun, pushing the cold front across
the eastern Gulf waters through early on Mon. Gale conditions
and high seas are expected across the SW Gulf behind the front
on Mon, and Mon night.
