.SYNOPSIS...A very strong high pressure of 1044 mb centered just
offshore the Virginia/North Carolina coast extends a ridge
across much of the Gulf waters producing frequent gusts to
minimal gale force across the Straits of Florida. This system
will maintain strong winds east of 90W tonight and Sat. A trough
across the SW Gulf off the Mexican coast will meander through
Sat, then lift N as a warm front. A surface low will develop
along the warm front near 29N88W Sun morning, then race across
the NE Gulf Sun, and drag a cold front across the Gulf region
through Mon morning. Gale conditions are expected across the SW
Gulf behind the front on Mon.
