The cold front will enter the NW gulf Tuesday night followed by fresh to strong northerly winds and building seas. The cold front will reach from near Apalachee Bay to near 27N90W and to 26N93W where it will transition to a warm front to developing low pres near far southern Texas coast. A cold front will extend from the low southward to the far western part of the SW gulf on Wednesday. The low pres is expected to move quickly northeastward dragging the cold front across the remainder of the Gulf through Friday. Strong northerly winds and rapidly building seas will follow the front, with winds possibly reaching gale force over portions of the west-central and SW waters beginning on Thursday and through Thursday night. Strong NE winds with frequent gusts may occur over the far NW waters on Wednesday. High pres will build in over the area in the wake of the front.
