Hurricane Nate was near 24.5N 87.0W 987 mb at 5 AM EDT moving NNW at 19 kt. Maximum sustained winds 70 kt gusts to 85 kt. Nate will continue NNW over the central Gulf to near 27.3N 88.3W this afternoon, then reach the north central Gulf coast near 30.4N 88.8W early Sunday morning with maximum sustained winds of 80 kt with gusts to 100 kt. Nate will move inland Sunday morning and continue well N of the Gulf through Sunday night.
