.SYNOPSIS...A trough over the central Gulf will weaken as it
moves into the NW Gulf through tonight, allowing associated
strong winds and seas over the NE and N central Gulf to 
diminish. Tropical Storm Nate over the Yucatan Peninsula near 
22.3N 86.4W 990 mb at 11 PM EDT moving NNW at 19 kt. Maximum 
sustained winds 55 kt gusts to 65 kt. Nate will intensify to a 
hurricane over the central Gulf of Mexico near 21.1N 87.8W by 
early Saturday with maximum sustained winds 65 kt gusts to 80 
kt, then continue to strengthen as it reaches near 28.5N 88.9W 
early Saturday evening with maximum sustained winds 75 kt gusts 
to 90 kt, and move inland near 31.4N 88.1W early Saturday 
morning with maximum sustained winds 65 kt gusts to 80 kt. Nate 
will continue inland well N of the Gulf through Sunday night. 
More tranquil marine conditions are expected early next week in 
the wake of Nate.

.OVERNIGHT...NE to E winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 8 ft. 
Scattered showers. 
.SAT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. SE winds 15 to
20 kt, becoming E 25 to 30 kt in the afternoon. Seas 5 to 7 ft,
building to 8 to 11 ft in the afternoon. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms.. 
.SAT NIGHT...HURRICANE CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. N winds 25 to
30 kt. Seas 10 to 14 ft. Numerous squalls and thunderstorms
between 90W and 94W.
.SUN...W winds 25 to 30 kt, becoming SW to W 15 to 20 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 8 to 10 ft, except 5 to 8 ft W of 94W. Scattered
showers and thunderstorms. 
.SUN NIGHT...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

35 kt, increasing to 50 to 55 kt in the afternoon. Seas 13 to 
24 ft between 87W and 90W, and 7 to 10 ft E of 87W. Numerous 
showers and scattered thunderstorms.
.SAT NIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. SE to S winds 
60 to 65 kt, becoming S to SW 35 to 40 kt late. Seas 16 to 24 ft 
between 87W and 90W, and 8 to 13 ft E of 87W. Numerous showers 
and scattered thunderstorms. 
.SUN...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. S winds 40 to 45 kt,
