.SYNOPSIS...Strong NE winds over the Gulf except in the SW portion
will diminish through the end of the week as an inverted trough
moves from the Straits of Florida and Florida Peninsula to the
W-NW, exiting the area early Sat. Tropical Depression Sixteen
currently in the SW Caribbean near 13.3N 83.3W is forecast to
approach the NE Yucatan Peninsula and Yucatan Channel Fri
afternoon as a tropical storm, emerging in the SE or S central 
Gulf near 21.8N 87.4W late Fri night, then continuing to the NNW 
or N through the central Gulf reaching 27.8N 89.5W late Sat night
while strengthening to a hurricane, moving inland over the N 
central or NE Gulf coast Sun and Sun night. More tranquil marine 
conditions are expected early next week in the wake of the
system.
