.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Franklin inland near 19.3N 88.5W at
5 AM will move W-NW across the Yucatan Peninsula this morning
with the center emerging into the eastern Bay of Campeche along
20N this afternoon. Franklin will strengthen to a strong
tropical storm of 60 kt gusts to 70 kt near 20.3N 94.4W at 2 PM
on Wed, and move W and inland Mexico near 21N97W before sunrise
on Thu. Winds will diminish and seas subside through Thu night.
A surface ridge will meander W from the Florida Big Bend across
the Northern Coastal Waters through Sat. A coastal trough will
extend S from the Texas Coastal Bend to near Veracruz Mexico
through early Wed morning. A trough will develop over the
Yucatan Peninsula on Thu and Fri evenings, move slowly westward
during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the SW Gulf by
late each morning.
