.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong southerly winds will persist over
the NE Gulf this evening related to 1016 mb low pressure near
28N86W. The low pressure is embedded along a trough reaching
from the Big Bend area across the northern Gulf to the northern
coast of Texas. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will persist
over most of the N central and NE Gulf through tonight. The
trough and low pressure will drift N of the area through early
Thu as a ridge builds across the central Gulf.
