Winds and seas will increase in the southern Gulf tonight in response to a broad low pressure area that will move into the southern Gulf early this week...possibly as a tropical cyclone. Widespread showers and thunderstorms with strong to near gale force winds will accompany the low as it moves into the Gulf.
