Winds and seas will increase in the southern Gulf beginning tonight and through and Tuesday in response from a broad low pressure area that is expected to slowly move from the Yucatan Peninsula into the southern or central Gulf and possibly intensify into a tropical or sub-tropical cyclone. Widespread showers and thunderstorms with strong to near gale force winds will accompany the low as it moves into the Gulf.
