.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Bret is over the eastern Caribbean
near 13.4N 62.9W 1001 mb at 5 AM EDT, moving W at 16 kt. Maximum
sustained winds are 50 kt with gusts to 60 kt. Bret will
continue westward and move to 13.6N 65.2W this afternoon, 13.8N
68.6W Sat morning, 13.9N 72.1W Sat afternoon, then weaken to a
tropical depression near 13.9N 75.6W Sun morning, and dissipate
Sun afternoon. The remnant trough of Bret will continue across
the southwest Caribbean through Mon. Farther east, Tropical
Storm Cindy is over the tropical Atlantic near 12.1N 46.9W
1005 mb at 5 AM EDT, moving WNW at 13 kt. Maximum sustained
winds are 40 kt with gusts to 50 kt. Cindy will move to 12.9N
48.7W this afternoon, 14.3N 51.2W Sat morning, 16.0N 53.9W Sat
afternoon, and 17.7N 56.5W Sun morning. Cindy will move to the
northeast of Leeward Islands near 19.4N 59.0W Sun afternoon,
then continue to move well north of the area through the early
part of the week.
