.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Sam was  near 18.9N 56.2W 950 mb at 5 AM 
EDT moving NW at 8 kt. Maximum sustained winds 115 kt gusts 140 
kt. Sam will move to the northeast of the Leeward Islands 
today, then continue farther north of the region. Seas will 
build over the Atlantic waters Wed through Fri as swell from 
Hurricane Sam will moves to the north of the Virgin Islands and 
Puerto Rico, subsiding Sat and Sun. Elsewhere, gentle to moderate
winds will increase across the region by Sun as high pressure 
builds north of the area.
