Southeast Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong winds and rough seas will diminish
today. High pressure will build in the Gulf, supporting moderate
to locally fresh S to SE winds over the western and central
Gulf, and gentle to moderate winds in the eastern basin through
this weekend. A surface trough will develop over the Yucatan
Peninsula and move into the Bay of Campeche nightly through Sun,
increasing winds to fresh to strong speeds in the Peninsula
adjacent waters. The next cold front may enter the northwestern
basin early next week.  

.TODAY...N winds 20 kt, shifting to N to NE 10 to 15 kt in the
afternoon. Seas 6 to 9 ft. 
.TONIGHT...NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...Rough seas E of 63W will subside today. A cold front
 from 31N75W to S Florida will progress eastward, with fresh to 
strong SW winds ahead of the front, and strong to near- gale
force winds and locally very rough seas behind the front into
early  Sat. Fresh trade winds and rough seas are expected to
develop east of the Windward Islands this weekend into early
next week. High  pressure will build in the wake of the front
over the western  Atlantic this weekend. 

.TODAY...NW to N winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and NW 20 to 25 kt N
of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft S of 27N, and 6 to 9 ft N of 27N. 
.TONIGHT...N to NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft S of 27N,
and 5 to 7 ft N of 27N. 
.SAT...S of 27N, NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt, Seas 3 to 4 ft in the
morning, subsiding to 2 ft or less. N of 27N, NE to E winds less
than 5 kt, shifting to S to SW in the afternoon, Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.SAT NIGHT...S of 27N, NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N, NW to
N winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to E late. Seas 3 ft.
